CzechAlert gives guest lecture at CZU

What could an investigative agency possibly have to offer to a graduate class of business administration students? Well, after receiving an invitation to conduct a guest lecture at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (Česká Zemědělská Univerzita), that was the exact question we asked ourselves – turns out that there was quite a lot to be had on the topical menu.

The 90-minute lecture was split into two parts – one consisting of a theoretical elaboration of various distinctions (data, information, intelligence), the intelligence cycle and the different types of intelligence (HUMINT, OSINT, STRATINT, BI, CI, FININT, and SOCMINT), risk management, and mitigation strategies against social engineering and other threats in the business world.

In the second part of our lecture, we gave the students a hands-on team assignment, focusing on investigating specific business risks, such as PEP tags, adverse media tags, and several others. It was a pleasure to see them excel at these tasks, despite having virtually no prior experience in investigations.

We would like to formally offer our thanks to the individuals and institution that made this lecture possible. You know who you are!

Last but certainly not least: stay tuned for our first major public investigation that will be going live in January of 2026.

Happy Holidays!

Stay Alert.
